Authorship & Ghostwriting
I am the author of A Writer’s Year, A Mindful Year, A Mother's Year, I Love Leopard, Plant Lady and A Year of Self-Care, all published by HarperCollins. I can write to brief on a wide range of subjects and always enjoy working with other authors to help bring their ideas
to life.
New Title Development
I am adept at trend forecasting, researching book ideas, commissioning authors and developing initial concepts into bestsellers. I have in-depth knowledge of the UK, US and foreign language co-edition markets and work across a wide variety of subjects including music, food and drink, health, wellness, parenting, travel and reference.
Project Editing
I take-on whole project management, from development of initial concepts and ideas, through to checking final proofs and approval for print. Commissioning photographers, designers, editors and illustrators is second nature, as is co-ordinating photoshoots, and I have extensive experience of budgeting and scheduling.
Copyediting & Proofreading
I enjoy working with authors and publishers to turn original manuscripts into engaging and informative text appropriate to the intended market. I'm a meticulous and conscientious editor and proofreader with scrupulous attention to detail, and I'm particularly adept at last-minute 'saves' on projects that might need a little help to get them off to print.

I am a Brighton-based freelance writer and editor specialising in non-fiction publishing. With over twenty years experience of working for the leading trade and co-edition publishing houses in the UK –including HarperCollins, Penguin Random House, Hachette and Quarto – I have written, commissioned, edited, published and sold books on everything from Minecraft to mindfulness and Britpop to baking.
